Narcotics Anonymous is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to stay clean.

Coming to your first NA-Meeting?

We call our weekly group sessions meetings. Here’s what you can expect at a meeting:

At meetings we talk about the effect of addiction on our lives and what recovery gives us. Each of us speaks only about his or her own experience; we don’t give each other advice or lectures. We are financed by our own donations and are independent of other organisations.

Meeting venues

Meetings take place in easily accessible spaces that we rent. You will find lists of all NA meetings there, also available at www.narcotics-anonymous.ch.

We begin and end meetings on time. We do not talk about who was at a particular meeting or what was spoken of there. This helps us feel comfortable and secure

Drugs are not permitted at meetings. Harrassment, threats and disruptive behaviour are out of place. NA is a spiritual, non-religious programme.

At meetings we share our experience, strength and hope. It works! Come to a meeting and see for yourself.

Lausanne, March 10, 2015

For the first time in Switzerland, Narcotics Anonymous innovates: Indeed, our association self-managed by recovering addicts launched a poster campaign in all regions of Switzerland.

Posters of Narcotics Anonymous (NA) will be the next few days in all Swiss cantons. They represent people who take off their masks, like all addicts who have trusted NA and are now on the road to recovery and a new life. The slogans are: "It is never too late to change," and "Give yourself to an NA meeting."

NA is a worldwide fellowship of addicts reinstatements, who meet regularly to help each other to live sober. NA was founded in 1953. Today there are meetings on all continents and in more than 130 countries. Each week worldwide, there are about 60,000 meetings in over 40 different languages. NA is not affiliated or supported by government authorities, political groups, religious movements, commercial or private.

In Switzerland, there are currently 51 weekly meetings, 20 of them in Suisse Romande. In most cities, you will find at least one meeting a week. Meetings are open to all people who have a problem with drugs or think to have one. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using psychotropic products.
